I got to watch 郑元畅 up close today! Luckily I bought the tickets early enough. To be able to sit so near to such a cute guy for $30, it was a steal. The show was ridiculously long, lasting a total of 200 min (equiv to 3.5hr), which made us only leave the theatre near 12mn. Having the Chingay parade on the same day meant only one out of the three exits from the car park were usable, and we spent a rather long time sitting in the car!
Today also marks the first of a weird kind of incident called i-went-to-the-show-on-the-wrong-days syndrome. We were happily sitting on the balcony about 10m away from the screen when a group of ladies came by and said we were sitting on their seats. We double checked both our tickets and both stated the same seats!! Reason? Our ticket was for the show yesterday!!!!!!!! The theater was full house tonight, which meant they couldn't even squeeze us at some random place. And we were not allowed to stand or sit on the stairs. They were about to say "we're so sorry for your situation" when the supervisor thought of a place to park us! We ended up sitting at the balcony seats that were never open for sale -- the ones that were JUST beside the stage. So instead of sitting at a balcony 10m away from the stage, I got one 5m away. It was really a blessing in disguise! Thank you to all the staff at Esplanade for being so helpful~~
The cast were made up of people who were ridiculously tall, except for 张艾佳 who is of normal height. 郑元畅 is sooooo cute lo! -swoons- I bet lots of people must be damn jealous of my seats! HAHAHA.
By the way, I am going to have an aircon installed in my room! Bye bye sweat!! Woohoo~
PS: We went on the wrong day cuz I apparently jotted the event on the wrong day in my organiser. And the cat just followed whatever I said! Lesson learnt -- always double check.

Malaysia bans Avril
This is ridiculous! Malaysia actually banned Avril's concert because she is too sexy! >.<
LATEST: Canadian singer AVRIL LAVIGNE will go ahead with her cancelled concert in Malaysia - after winning the approval of the government.
The concert had been axed following protests from a political party which claimed the pop star is "too sexy" to perform in the Muslim country.
The Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry has decided not to permit Lavigne's show, claiming its content is unsuitable to Malaysian culture on the eve of the country's Independence Day on 31 August (08).
But Lavigne has now confirmed she will be performing.
She tells MTV News, "Well, I've actually been approved by the government to play a show.
"I've already sold 10,000 tickets there, so I will be going to put on a concert for the fans.
"They tend to, you know, sometimes not want Western artists in their country. I respect that, but at the same time, you know, there's people that listen to music there and want to see their idols and stuff, so it's all good: been approved by the government and I'm going to go put on a show and have fun."

The High Life
We had our DnD just last night at Upper Club in Chijmes. The place turned out to be much nicer than I thought it to be. Due to slowness and all, me and Jenx actually arrived at the venue only at 8 plus when the dinner was supposed too begin at 730 pm, making us the latest of the late.
We were the gothic couple at the dinner. I swear it wasn't pre-planned! my dress was something I pulled out of my cupboard, and the only things I bought were the gloves and the hairband. (Fung might find the scarf a little familar. The ultra bling on my hand is proudly borrowed from this dear Taitai.) Jenx scarf was selected by me! He was kind resistant to it at first for some reason, but it turned out to be an essential part of his whole goth package! Hair specially done by each other. :)

Diner's card
I just received a Diner's club credit card in my mailbox this morning. The thing is, I have absolutely no recollection of applying for it or whatsoever.
Now that's what I call freaky.

I am a graduate
11 July marks a special day for all Pharmacy graduates. Everyone were photowhores all of a sudden, snapping pictures with everyone and anyone they could find. And finally, we have all graduated from our four year course. Looking back, it was a delightful experience working with my peers and lecturers. And so here I am in my graduation gown with lilac-coloured hood!
I discovered that I look extremely fat in this gown, especially when I place my arms by my side. Hence, I started to put my arms in front of my body to hold the fat thing down. My curls, as you can see below, are proudly done by Jenx, who sacrificed his lunch for it.
I met up with gor for a dim sum buffet at River City Restaurant. The hotel where it was located in was very lok-kok looking, and we had to share tables with random humans. That confused the hell out of the service crew as all 3 orders had the same table number. I wonder why they want to make life difficult for themselves...
He brought me to the weird side of City Hall that I would never have gone to, and later I dragged him to go shopping with me at Suntec. I had the intention to buy more work clothes with the GSS is still on, but ended up only with a new top... I want more flare skirts and cropped jackets!!

Busy trains
This week has been full of squeezing in the mornings. For some reason, the train station platforms are especially packed, with about 20 people waiting to get on at each door every time. The sad thing is, only a handful of people get off the train at my station.
I had to wait for about 3-5 trains before I could get on for the past few days, and as a result ending up late for work. This is not including the sadness of getting stepped on, jabbed in the ribs and being plastered to random sweaty bodies.
So, I shall conclude once again that morning shift is not the thing for me. Not only do I have to wake up at 630 in the morning, I also have to squeeze onto the train with the ridiculous Shenton Way crowd at the peak hour.
I've been trying to bid for a BNF on ebay (from UK) because it seems to be much cheaper. According to Jenx, a copy in Singapore costs $60 plus while online prices not including shipping from UK would be around S$10-30. But many people seem to be interested in the book, and hence it's not easy to bid for at all!

Pre-registration life
I guess I would suffer like hell until the end of this year. With work having very irregular hours, 9-4.30 on morning shifts and 2.30-10 on afternoon shifts, and having to juggle tuition at the same time, I would be possibly left with very little me-time.
I have gotten 'sacked' by one of my students by my own request, and that hopefully lightens the load a little. The other student only knows how to complain that I'm only giving her tuition on alternate weeks, not appreciating the fact that half my free time has gone to teaching her.
This is the period when planning is of utmost importance. I already have a schedule that is packed until 2 weeks from now. I guess that makes me sound super busy! Apart from those plans, I also have to make some time to do the assignments for our weekly training sessions, which I would say isn't very friendly in terms of the number of questions. Stress!! (No la, actually I'm still quite relaxed. Just a tad bit lacking of sleep.)
Anyone wants cheap purchases from Unity? I have a $500 limit for staff purchase every month that I don't think I will ever be able to finish.
Just one rant here... There is a day in July where I have to go for training at 830 and work until 10 at night. Can someone save me??? :(

B-boyz and ballerina (dance)
The dance was AWWWW!!!!
There were so many superb stunts and great locking and popping that got the audience really high. Many people there were practically screaming their lungs out. The dancers were not only good at their moves, they were very good at entertaining the crowd too. A random clown that had a random role distributed balloons to the people sitting near the stage, and during the encore segment, they actually dragged a girl from the audience up on stage to dance around with them.
It also happened to be the first time that I see a performance that uses UV light and glow-in-the-darks on stage. Pretty interesting stuff. The storyline was cliché and perhaps not put across very well, but that's not the main point with all the other distractions! It's a real pity that Sang was sick and I couldn't find someone to take the empty seat in time.
